Bristol Challenge Cup proceeds to be split! | 29th December 2011

The tournament organisers tonight confirmed that the proceeds from the fundraising taking place at the Challenge Cup will be split 50/50 between the club and nominated charity. The Charity selected is close to one of Bristol Panthers players hearts. Panthers midfielder Lea Farmer, a former 800m Welsh Athletics Champion, was coached by Ann Hill who sadly passed away in 2007.

During Ann's last months she was cared for by St Anne's Hospice in Newport and Lea is running the 2012 London Marathon to raise funds for the charity.  The clubs proceeds will go towards Lea's deposit for the Marathon which takes place on 22nd April 2012.
